live chat offerings and hours. To begin a live chat:

    1. Review the eligibility and hours for the division you wish to contact.
    2. If you have an existing case, please have your case number ready. Don't know your case number?
      Look it up on the Online Portal.
    3. Click the appropriate button to be redirected to the division page.
    4. Click the Live Chat button in the bottom right corner of the page.

Self-Help

For assistance with the following case types:
– divorce
– legal separation
– child support
– small claims
Self-Help cannot provide you with legal advice.

 

Hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1:30pm - 3:30pm excluding court holidays.

For assistance with general questions regarding Civil and Probate cases, including:

  • Civil (Unlimited, Complex, Limited, or Unlawful Detainers)
  • Probate, Guardianships, and Conservatorships
  • Civil Restraining Orders (Civil Harassment, Elder Abuse, Workplace)
  • Small Claims
  • Adoptions

The Clerk's Office cannot provide you with legal advice, including instructions on what form to file.

Hours:

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8am – 10am excluding court holidays.
  • Wednesday from 3:15pm-4:15pm excluding court holidays.

Criminal Live Chat FAQ

For assistance with general questions regarding Criminal cases.

The following cannot be submitted over Live Chat:

  • Research Requests
  • Payment of case-related fines/fees
  • Remote Appearance Requests
  • Requests to schedule a surrender on warrant for no-bail warrants, warrants for failing to complete jail time, and felony warrants.
Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3pm – 4pm excluding court holidays.

For assistance with general questions regarding Family cases.

The Clerk’s Office cannot assist you with the following over Live Chat:

  • Transcribing, sending, or summarizing minute orders
  • Technical assistance for eFiling, Remote Appearances, and the Portal
  • Information pertaining to confidential cases
  • Taking filings or payments

 

The Clerk may ask you to call the Clerk’s Office or contact the Self-Help Center for further assistance if your question is too complex for chat.

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am – noon excluding court holidays.
  • Tuesday from 3:15pm-4:15pm excluding court holidays.
