PLEASE NOTE: Due to the Novel Coronavirus situation and Placer County Public Health’s recommendations, we are only providing in-person assistance for urgent matters at the Self-Help Center. Examples of urgent matters are Restraining Orders, immediate danger to a child’s well-being, and Unlawful Detainer, also known as Eviction, answers. Until further notice, all workshops are cancelled except for the Domestic Violence Workshop. Appointments for non-urgent matters are being held by telephone or video conference. Information on this page, and the Self-Help section of the website, have been updated to reflect the new procedures put in place.

I NEED HELP WITH MY LEGAL CASE

In-person appointments are limited to urgent matters only. For urgent matters, please click here to email the Self-Help center. Be sure to include your full name, case number (if applicable), and the reason for your urgent appointment.

Appointments for non-urgent matters will be held by telephone or video conference. If you need help with any of the following, select “LEGAL HELP APPOINTMENT” to schedule an appointment by telephone or video conference:

The Self-Help Center can help you with case if you do not have an attorney.

  • Filling out forms;
  • Unsure of what to do or if you were given legal paperwork and need help with it;
  • General information about court procedures and instructions;
  • Have specific questions about your case
