Placer County Court Divisions

  • Appeals

    If you wish to appeal, you must file your Notice of Appeal with the clerk of the trial court within 30 calendar days if you are charged with a Misdemeanor or an Infraction and with 60 calendar days.

  • Civil

    The Civil Division handles the following actions; Alternate Dispute Resolution, Elder Abuse, Harassment, Landlord/Tenant, Name Changes, Small Claims, and Workplace Violence. The Civil Division also handles Appeals and Probate cases.

  • Criminal

    The Criminal Division handles the following actions; Appeals, Domestic Violence, Cleaning Your Record, Misdemeanors, and Felonies.

  • Family

    The Family Division handles the following actions; Divorce / Summary Dissolution, Annulment, Parentage, Domestic Violence, Restraining Orders, Dissolution Domestic Relation, Domestic Partnership, Dissolution of Domestic Partnership, Domestic Violence Restraining Order, Legal Separation, and Family Support.

  • Juvenile

    The Juvenile Division handles the following actions; Dependency, Delinquency, and Child Family Services.

  • Traffic

    The Traffic Division handles the following actions; Infractions and Misdemeanors.
