There are a number of additional online resources that are outside of the Placer County Superior Court that can be used to help you in your legal matter.

California Courts Self-help Center
This website is maintained by the California Judicial Council and has all of the statewide court forms used in California Courts. It also has an excellent Self-Help section.

California Courts Instructional Materials
Provides informational materials, instructions, and videos providing basic legal information and explanation about the court process in a variety of matters. It also includes templates and sample pleadings developed by self-help centers to assist self-represented litigants in completing forms and pleadings.

Legal Services of Northern California
Provides services for low income clients. Phone and in-person appointments available. Legal Services of Northern California provides legal advice on landlord tenant matters, public benefits, and other civil matters. Legal Services of Northern California is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 12:00pm and 1:15pm – 4:00pm. Telephone hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00am – 12:00pm and 1:15pm – 4:00pm.

Placer County Law Library
The Placer County Law Library (“PCLL”) in Auburn, CA has a large collection of legal and self-help materials in both print and online formats. PCLL has a public room with computers, ample workspace, and Wi-Fi for those who bring their own laptops. The PCLL staff can assist in the use of available legal resources; however, they cannot give legal advice.
The Placer County Law Library is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. PCLL is also open on the first Saturday of each month open 9:00am to 1:00pm. Closed on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
