Can I file documents at this location?

Documents pertaining to juvenile matters may be filed at this location between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (closed during the noon hour). After hour filings can be left in the drop box located at the front of the building.

Can I request and view files at this location?

Juvenile case files can be viewed at this location. As juvenile matters are confidential, only the minor or parents may view the file. Photo identification will be required. If you wish to view a non-juvenile case file, you may do so at either the Honorable Howard G. Gibson Courthouse in Roseville or the Tahoe City Courthouse in Tahoe City.

Is there court security?

As a matter of public safety, everyone entering the building is required to pass through a weapons screening device and bags are subject to inspection. Weapons and contraband of any kind are prohibited and items that potentially could be used as a weapon are not permitted in the courthouse. When planning your time, please allow yourself an extra 5-10 minutes to pass through security.
