- What is the Virtual Hallway

The Virtual Hallway is an entirely browser-based application that allows remote participants to check-in and mark themselves as "ready," prior to joining the virtual courtroom to participate in their hearing.
While in the Virtual Hallway, you may communicate with other remote participants from your hearing using the Virtual Hallway's built-in chat, file sharing, and meeting functionality.
- Is the Virtual Hallway inside of Microsoft Teams?

No, the Virtual Hallway is entirely separate from the Microsoft Teams conference. You will first be required to join the Virtual Hallway before participating in the virtual courtroom.
- How will court staff know I’m inside of the Virtual Hallway and ready for my hearing?

The Virtual Hallway allows you to mark yourself as “ready to join” or “not ready to join” the virtual courtroom. When you are ready for your virtual hearing, mark yourself as “Ready to Join.” Court staff may rely on your status to determine when to prompt you to join the virtual courtroom.
- How will I connect to the virtual courtroom once I’m inside of the Virtual Hallway?

Once the courtroom is ready for your hearing, you will receive a pop-up prompt asking you to join the virtual courtroom.
NOTE: The transfer from the Virtual Hallway to the virtual courtroom is NOT automatic. You must click on the “Click Here to Join” button in the pop-up prompt. If you do not, you will not be transferred to the virtual courtroom.
- Who can I communicate with when I’m inside of the Virtual Hallway?

You can chat and start hallway conferences other remote participants from your hearing. You must wait until the invited participant has accept your chat or conference request.
NOTE: You cannot chat with court staff.
- Can I share files with other remote participants from my case?

Yes, the Virtual Hallway allows you to view and share files with other remote participants.
NOTE: Parties may download and view these files at their own risk. There is no virus check
- I lost network connection and dropped out of the hearing. How do I get back in?

Click on the conference link in your confirmation email and you will be reconnected to the Virtual Hallway. Court staff will then prompt you to join the virtual hearing.
- I’m having issues and this FAQ page isn’t answering my question. Now what?
